Pay it Off….STAT!

Have something to pay down/off? Maybe you are just struggling to save ( I know I am)! Check out this cool new site called Payoff.com. I’ve blown the last hour on it because it’s so cool. This site allows you to set goals and rewards you when you reach them. For instance, I set up a “savings goal” of $1,500. I’ll receive badges every time I deposit money in my savings account or do other money saving related tasks. The more badges I earn, the more chances I have at winning “sur-prizes”. Sounds like fun!

If you are like me and need a good healthy dose of encouragement, head on over to Payoff and check it out. I think I will do really well with it, it’s a lot of fun to use and has some really helpful, interesting money saving advice!

If anyone is currently using this site, I would love to hear what you think of it and if you have earned any “sur-prizes” yet!

TaskRabbit: Now Hiring!

Have you heard about TaskRabbit? I just opened up my current issue of Glamour (page 98 if you have it) and read an interesting article about TaskRabbit, the newest site to merge job seekers and those seeking help!

Anyone can apply to “work” for Taskrabbit. I think it’s the perfect job site for stay at home moms and dads or someone just trying to earn a little extra cash. Even someone who is out of work and needs to get their hands on some kind of income quick should take a look at their site. TaskRabbits fulfill all kinds of jobs from childcare to virtual assisting, from moving help to home repair. Gotta couple extra hours in the afternoon? Put in for a data entry job! Handy with a hammer and drill? Apply for your neighbors home improvement project!

Here’s how it looks from a person (or company) seeking your help:

Be prepared for an interview process which I honestly feel is really refreshing. It’ll include an application (not too lengthy), a video interview (I’ll be doing that on Saturday) and a background check. Kinda cool. If you want to get in there and see what it’s all about for yourself, you just need to submit the application (took me about 3 minutes) and complete your profile.

Map of cities TaskRabbit is active in

You can see the available jobs (everything from moving furniture to data entry for a start up wine company.) There are loads of jobs! I am curious if any of you are already using this site and what you think of it? I’ll be posting updates as my interview process moves forward. Let me know what you think of TaskRabbit!
